Year 7 - Key Holder
Year 7 pupils use design inspirations from Welsh culture to influence their designs in this course, which introduces them to the use of Resistant Materials.

The pupils produce specifications and carefully design and make a greetings card for a person of their choice. Some choose to add special features to the card like pop-ups or sound chips.

This project introduces pupils into the exiting world of textiles design and technology. Working to meet a set of user requirements the pupils get the opportunity to design and manufacture a winter hat.

Lots of pupils in Denbigh High love good food. But what is the difference between good food choices and poor ones? In this project pupils use nutritional information to help design and make a tasty pizza.

Year 8 - Puzzle
Problem solving is a key skill, which we really upon on a regular basis. During this project pupils will use the latest technology (CAD CAM) to design a challenging "bb Puzzle game".

This project focuses on the development of further skills in Textiles Technology. Pupils will experience using a wider range of materials in designing a comfortable cushion.

Traditional skills, mechanisms, forces and materials are the main focus areas within this largely practical project. Pupils will use timber to design a traditional toy.

Pupils will combine graphical design with systems and control in the 10 week project. They will assemble a circuit board for an electronic dice and program a micro-chip using one of our high spec PCs.
