The Design and Technology department in Denbigh High School is a forward thinking, supportive and exiting area of teaching and learning in the Denbigh community.

In Key Stage 3 (years 7,8,9) pupils study in a range of material areas. The delivery of the national curriculum takes place through a number of design and make projects. During the school year pupils will progress through 3 or 4 design projects. After completing KS3 pupils will have the opportunity to opt for KS4 courses in Design and Technology. The courses followed in years 10 and 11 are challenging and the staff are always pleased to receive the regular positive feedback from pupils following course within the D&T department in year 10 and 11. Currently Product Design is offered as a course in the sixth form. Typically students will study Advanced Subsidiary level in year 12 and complete a full A-Level in year 13. Examples of practical coursework can be found in the examples section of this website.
